We must know our enemy! That means: to understand Islamic terrorism, we must examine Muhammad.
We are doing a multi part TV series on the direct connection between Muhammad and Islamic terrorists. (If you appreciate the following research,
We will ONLY use Muslim sources.
For example: What Would Muhammad Do with Women Captives?
The Muslim historian al-Tabari wrote: “An account of the Messenger of God’s slave concubines…They were Mariya bt. Sham’un the Copt, and Rayhanah, from Banu Qurayza.”
Ibn Ishaq – probably the most famous biographer of Muhammad – records what Muhammad did after the slaughter of the Jewish Tribe called Banu Qurayza:
“Then the apostle [Muhammad] divided the property, wives, and children of the Banu Quraysa among the Muslims…The apostle had chosen one of their women for himself, Rayhanna…and she remained with him until she died, in his power.” al-Tabari puts her sexual slavery in a more spiritual light: “God granted Rayhanah of the Banu Qurayzah to his Messenger as booty.”
She was booty…a spoil of war…a sexual slave. This is why Muslim terrorists believe what they do to women captured in war is justifiable – because Muhammad did it.
ISIS has a magazine called Dubiq. In their October 2014 issue, ISIS released a lengthy defense of their practice of sexual slavery. ISIS is proud to have sex slaves, because it’s what Muhammad and his companions did. The author – a woman – opens her article stating that sexual slavery is a “pure prophetic tradition [Sunnah]” of Muhammad.
She quotes the Quran, and just as often, one of Muhammad’s biographies, or the Haddith – focusing on specific stories from Muhammad’s life – to justify what they do, and why they do it. Far from running from Muhammad’s teachings and example, they embrace them.
The Quran has several passages that teach that a Muslim man may have lawful sex with his wives – up to four of them – and with his female slaves. A slave – in Islamic and Quranic terminology – is referred to as “what thy right hand possesses.”
“O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee…” 33:50
“And those who guard their chastity, except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed…” 70:29-31
The Quran teaches that Muslims having sex with their slaves, and their captives of war, is legal and blameless.
After the battle of Khaybar, Muhammad took for his sex-slave the beautiful teenager Safiyyah, after he had her husband tortured with fire to find hidden money, and then had him beheaded. “The Prophet then brought Safiyya whom he had won from the war booty. (Sahih Bukari, Book #65, Hadith #336)
“The Muslims said amongst themselves, “Will she (i.e. Safiya) be one of the mothers of the believers, (i.e. one of the wives of the Prophet ) or just (a lady captive) of what his right-hand possesses” Some of them said, “If the Prophet makes her observe the veil, then she will be one of the mothers of the believers (i.e. one of the Prophet’s wives), and if he does not make her observe the veil, then she will be his lady slave.” So when he departed, he made a place for her behind him and made her observe the veil. (Book #59, Hadith #524)
In another account of Muhammad’s brutality toward women captured in battle, we read:
“Allah’s Messenger sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them. Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah’s Messenger seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists.” (Book #008, Hadith #3432 Sahih Muslim)
Usually, the Muslims killed all the husbands. However, on this occasion, the husbands’ were still alive. The jihadists did not know what to do, so they asked Muhammad if it was legal to rape these married women.
Muhammad said he got a revelation from God: Muslims were forbidden to have sex with married women, unless they were slaves or captives of war – such as the ones they had just captured: “Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess. Quran 04:24
With Muhammad’s approval, and a Quranic revelation to justify their cruelty, his men proceeded to ravage their female captives – both young and old; virgins and the married. Muhammad’s men could not be accused of adultery – because all marriages were annulled, nor of rape, because the women were all slaves.
Based on Muhammad’s words and actions, Islamic Sharia law holds: “When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman’s previous marriage is immediately annulled.” 09.13 Pg 605, Reliance of the Traveler: The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law
This is exactly what ISIS practices and states “The right hand’s possession are the female captives who were separated from their husbands by enslavement. They became lawful for the one who ends up possessing them even without pronouncement of divorce by their infidel [harbī] husbands.” Dabiq Issue 9, pg 44.
Here is yet another example from Muhammad’s life:
“We went out with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi’l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing coitus interruptus. But we said: ‘We are doing an act whereas Allah’s Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him?’ So we asked Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he said: ‘It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.’” (Book #008, Hadith #3371 Sahih Muslim, and Book #93, Hadith #506 Sahih Muslim)
There are more examples, but these will suffice.
No TV show has ever broadcasted the direct connection between Muhammad’s cruelty to women, and that of ISIS.
If you believe the truth needs to be told, I ask you to give as generously as you can to this project.
We beg your prayers. In Christ,
