I just loaned the SLRC some money so it could make the payment on the SLRC loan on my personal credit card. Don’t know if it gets more pathetic than that. As we struggle to keep up the fight, money has been a real problem. My reserves to assist the SLRC are gone so now we fight on faith. WILL YOU HELP US? HERE’S HOW:
1. We ask the court a GREAT question. Must Dallas follow its own law in having a valid Certificate of Demolition to remove the Pioneer Cemetery Confederate War Memorial?

Resolutions similar to these will be presented to the delegates for adoption, tomorrow at the Texas Division SCV Reunion in McKinney Texas. (see sample resolutions below). We need to get other civic groups to adopt these and make sure elected officials & candidates for office receive them!

1. Whereas the “Government Speech” Doctrine was first announced by the Supreme Court in 2013 and expanded on by the Court in Walker v TX Div Sons of Confederate Veterans in 2015, to deny the Texas Division SCV a Confederate Battleflag themed license plate, and
Whereas municipalities across America, but especially in the South, wasted no time to use “Government Speech” to haul down historic monuments on government land, many monuments over 120 years old , and
Whereas, these actions were almost never put to a referendum of the people, but often hauled down in secrecy and dead of night, and
Whereas, when sued by the SCV & other heritage groups these municipalities used the “Government Speech” doctrine to cloak their crimes against art & the people, and
Whereas until last month, the courts had done nothing to restrict or alter the “Government Speech” Doctrine, and
Whereas the City of Alpharetta, Georgia, using an extreme extension of the “Government Speech” doctrine, banned an SCV entry in a Veteran’s day parade unless the Camp marched without the Confederate Battleflag, and
Whereas the original parade had been founded by Alpharetta Confederate Veterans in 1872 and the SCV had participated in the parade, without incident, for many years, and
Whereas a federal lawsuit by the SCV against the City of Alpharetta was dismissed by a US District Court, and the dismissal was upheld by the 11th Circuit United States Court of Appeal based on the “Government Speech” doctrine, and
Whereas, United States Supreme Court, AND the 11th Circuit US Court of Appeals have recently ruled favorably on restricting the Government Speech doctrine and
Whereas there are still important pending monument cases in Dallas, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia & Florida, all seeking to protect monuments & restrict the “Government Speech” doctrine,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we declare:
THAT “GOVERNMENT SPEECH” VIOLATES THE CITIZENS 1st AMENDMENT RIGHTS OF FREE SPEECH
THAT “GOVERNMENT SPEECH” IS THEREFORE PATENTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL – AND THEREFORE THAT “GOVERNMENT SPEECH” IS TYRANNY!!!!
2. RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE THROCKMORTON Monument in McKinney
Whereas James W. Throckmorton VOTED AGAINST the Secession of Texas in 1861 among 1 of 7 to do so.
and
Whereas Throckmorton accepted the vote to leave the Union and went on to loyally serve the State of Texas during 4 years of War and
Whereas this great man is remembered with a statue in the Town of McKinney, where the monument remains despite calls to the McKinney City Council from the usual suspects to remove it and
Whereas ANTIFA & BLM have vowed to keep up the pressure to remove the Throckmorton Monument
Now Therefore be it resolved That
1. We thank the McKinney City Council for keeping the Throckmorton Monument where it is and safe in spite the threats of a howling hired mob and urge them to continue to do so
2. Encourage McKinney Citizens & all Texans to call write and email the McKinney City Council and urge them to stay strong on this issue.
3. RESOLUTION ON DEFUNDING WOKE TEXAS UNIVERSITIES
Whereas the hand-picked UT regents appointed by current Governor Greg Abbott supinely allowed Former UT President Greg Fenves dismantle & remove the historic Littlefield monuments on the South Mall and
Whereas the UT system spent millions of taxpayer dollars from 2015-2020 to defend Fenves’ continuing violation of the Texas Monument Protection act and Texas law in 2 major lawsuits. and
Whereas much of the generated hatred in support of destroying Monuments has been directed, aided and abetted by the substantial, toxic and growing marxist culture that controls the bloated administration and liberal arts and gender studies” departments of the University of Texas and almost all the public universities & colleges in the state, and
Whereas these “centers of higher learning” now practice defacto segregation in graduation ceremonies, student housing and campus activities. and
Whereas these “centers of higher learning” routinely squelch free speech on campus and
Whereas it is intolerable that the normal Texas taxpayer is forced to subsidize these expensive spawning grounds for marxism that breeds uneducated “graduates” filled with hatred for normal America, and
Whereas. despite massive endowments, the public institutions continue to receive taxpayer money from the Texas Legislature,
Now therefore be it resolved by the delegates of the Texas Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, in convention assembled:
1. That normal Texans be encouraged to contact their State Representative & Senator and demand that Woke Texas colleges & universities not receive one dime of public money from the Texas legislature in 2023.
2. That normal Texans be encouraged to contact candidates for State Representative & Senator and demand that if elected they will work to ensure that Woke Texas colleges & universities will not receive one dime of public money from the Texas legislature in 2023
3. That normal Texans be encouraged to contact Gov Greg Abbott and demand that he fire the compliant UT Board of Regents (and compliant regents at any other Woke Texas university) and replace them with responsible citizens who will curb, control or eradicate the marxist monsters on their campus.
4. And that we will resolve to make redemption of our public colleges and universities a major issue in Texas public life and to share this critically important issue with family, friends co-workers church members, local media and our allies in normal America (the 80 million, whose 2020 votes didn’t count).
5. RESOLUTION CONDEMING Texas Department of Transportation & Bullock Museum of Texas History
By resolution we DO CONDEMN IN THE STRONGEST POSSIBLE TERMS:
1. The Texas Department of Transportation for its sneaky, secret, stealth campaign to rid agency use of the Iconic 6 FLAGS OVER TEXAS logo & symbolism.
2. The Bullock Museum of Texas History plan to not return the 6 Flags Over Texas flagpoles to the plaza in front of the Museum
And Resolve that all Texans be encouraged to bombard these agencies with letters, emails & phone calls to halt this woke, brazen affront to traditional Texas History & Heritage
